Culture Fair at Linden Avenue Middle School
CultureConnect Humanities Grants
CultureConnect funds projects that forward our mission of promoting social justice, global
engagement and cultural competence. All projects must be a collaboration between students
and administrators/teachers and/or staff.
We favor grant applications that:
Cover humanities-based topics that are not addressed in the current curriculum OR that take a deeper dive on aspects of the current curriculum
Are experiential
Are new and innovative
Embrace our values of: diversity, collaboration, connection, dynamism, bravery and fun
Seek input and participation from the communities being studied/celebrated/explored by the project, and offer compensation to those community members.
Have specific learning objectives
Award Amounts:
The budget for these grants may change year to year.
There is no minimum grant amount, but the maximum grant is $500.
Deadlines:
We welcome grant applications on a rolling deadline.
Applications will open in 2025.
Selection Process:
CultureConnect has a grant review committee made up of board members and other community volunteers. The committee meets at least once a month to review any grant applications that have been submitted. We attempt to respond to applications within a month of submission. If funds are no longer available, we might ask the applicants if the project can be delayed until the next budget cycle.
Check back in 2025 for more information on how to apply for a grant. In the meantime you can email admin@cultureconnectrbk.org to express your interest.
